Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage cloud-based research, sandbox, and development environments, ensuring functionality, integration, availability, security, scalability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure required for AI research, experimentation, development, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Partner with Central IT and infrastructure teams to transition successful AI solutions into production by defining infrastructure requirements, establishing operational readiness criteria, preparing technical documentation, and supporting operational handover processes.
• Enable AI development by providing, operating, and evolving cloud, AI, and laboratory environments, including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AI platform services, and local AI appliances used for experimentation, development, validation, and innovation activities.
• Monitor resource utilization, optimize platform performance, and maintain visibility into cloud consumption and infrastructure costs.
• Provide technical guidance to innovation teams on cloud architecture, security, scalability, operational readiness, and platform best practices.
• Act as the primary escalation point for cloud lab, research, sandbox, and AI development environments, ensuring platform reliability and driving continuous improvements across innovation platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud, AI, and platform technologies that support innovation objectives.

What You'll Bring
Required

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Enterprise IT Operations.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, including cloud architectures, governance, security, and operational best practices.
• Experience managing cloud-based development, testing, sandbox, research, or innovation environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerized platforms and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, resource optimization, and cloud cost management.
• Experience supporting infrastructure and platform requirements for AI/ML initiatives.
• Understanding of AI/GenAI architectures, LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and enterprise AI solution patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and related Azure AI services and/or Google Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, and related GCP AI services.
• Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and related enterprise AI platforms, including platform governance, environment management, access control, and operational support.
• Experience with GPU-enabled infrastructure, AI workloads, local model hosting, and AI inference environments using technologies such as Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
• Familiarity with MLOps, LLMOps, FinOps, and AWS.
• Experience supporting innovation, research, or emerging technology teams in an enterprise environment.
