Job purpose:
The Solution Engineer (SE) plays a pivotal role in driving complex sales cycles within the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) sector. As a key technical partner in the pre-sales process, the SE is responsible for deeply understanding customer needs, demonstrating our solutions capabilities and relevant workflows, delivering tailored and locally apt solutions, and ensuring a seamless transition from pre-sales to deal closure and handover to customer success for implementation and onboarding. This role is essential for accelerating solution adoption, fueling sustainable business growth, and strengthening customer trust.
Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:
- The Solution Engineer (SE) will work as a global strategic technical advisor to our regional Sales teams and Partners to support high-value sales engagements across the AECO industry.
- The SE will lead technical pre-sales engagements, which include workflow discovery, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and requirements scoping while delivering impactful technical presentations and demos across a range of technologies, including SaaS and enterprise software, to enhance proposal development both within Graphisoft and with our Nemetschek sister brands.
- Deliver engaging, high-impact technical presentations and live product demos at public events, conferences, webinars, and executive briefings. This can include large, non-technical audiences.
- Conduct client-facing discovery to understand needs, assess customer pain points, propose value-driven solutions, and ensure a smooth handoff to deployment and customer success teams.
- Provide coaching to sales teams on Graphisoft product functionalities to develop strategic, value-oriented solutions for prospects.
- Enhance sales enablement by creating support materials such as standardized demos, presentations, and battle cards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in AECO workflows, including digital design, construction, and operations.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to confidently articulate and bridge the business needs with complex technical concepts to large non-technical audiences. Other language spoken is a plus.
- Ability and drive to conduct thorough workflow discovery sessions to understand customer requirements.
- Knowledge of BIM software solutions, preferably Archicad, and familiarity with the broader ecosystem of Nemetschek and its sister brands. Knowledge of competitive solutions such as Revit is a plus.
