About The Role
The IT PMI & Solution Manager – Digital Workspace leads IT projects and initiatives across Digital Workspace and IT Services, from initial objective or problem statement through solution definition, planning, coordination and implementation. The scope ranges from smaller focused initiatives to complex multi-country projects and includes recurring Post-Merger Integration (PMI) activities, Microsoft 365 tenant migrations towards a single Group tenant, workplace and service standardization, security and infrastructure-related changes, and other Digital Workspace transformations. The role works closely with leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, local IT organizations and external partners to create structure, align stakeholders and drive delivery in an environment where scope, priorities, timelines or budgets are often not fully defined upfront.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects and initiatives end-to-end, establishing the right level of structure, planning and governance for each situation.
- Translate high-level objectives, incomplete requirements or technical discussions into clear actions, milestones, responsibilities and delivery plans.
- Manage several initiatives in parallel and continuously refine scope, priorities and plans as new information becomes available.
- Lead recurring Digital Workspace Post-Merger Integration activities, including discovery of users, technologies, services, suppliers, processes and support models, and convert findings into a realistic integration plan.
- Coordinate Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and related Digital Workspace workstreams, ensuring technical, organizational and local dependencies are understood and managed.
- Lead or support other Digital Workspace and IT Service projects and initiatives; examples include Group ITSM/HALO rollout, hardware and workplace standardization, security solution deployment, supplier changes and implementation of global services.
- Facilitate workshops and solution discussions with technical experts and stakeholders; challenge assumptions, identify dependencies and drive decisions without needing to be the deepest technical specialist in every area.
- Coordinate cross-functional and international stakeholders who may not report directly to the role, including internal teams, acquired companies and external vendors.
- Track progress, risks, blockers and decisions, escalate when necessary and maintain momentum until the agreed outcome is delivered.
- Provide concise and transparent communication to Digital Workspace leadership and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven practical experience managing IT projects, programs or complex initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Experience in IT infrastructure, Digital Workspace, workplace transformation, Microsoft 365 or related enterprise IT environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams and external service providers.
- Experience with Post-Merger Integration, carve-outs or company integrations is an advantage, but strong general IT project management experience is more important.
- Experience with IT Service Management, service operations or ITSM platform implementation is highly relevant.
- Formal project management certifications are not required; demonstrated delivery experience and practical project leadership are more important.
- Practical understanding of Microsoft 365 and Digital Workspace technologies; experience with tenant migration is highly relevant.
- Understanding of IT Service Management principles and operational service environments.
- Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, identity, endpoint management, collaboration and security dependencies.
- Ability to use appropriate project and collaboration tools to plan, track and communicate work; no specific methodology or toolset is mandated.
- Understanding of vendor management, implementation partners and multi-team delivery models.
