Job purpose: The Senior Group Accountant is responsible for the accurate preparation of group financial statements including consolidation and taxes in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS) as well as supporting the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:
· Reviewing, checking and processing monthly closing financial statement packages from subsidiaries and HQ in the consolidation / reporting system.
· Close collaboration with subsidiaries to ensure that monthly closing reports are prepared with appropriate quality and in line with group accounting policies.
· Manage and perform group-level consolidation tasks (intercompany reconciliation, posting top-side IFRS adjustment entries).
· Maintaining professional communication with the parent company and handling parent company-related inquiries.
· Supporting subsidiaries and HQ in accounting and financial ad hoc tasks.
· Participation in projects (implementation of new processes).
· Active involvement in audit-related activities.
· Ensuring the timely submission, accuracy, and integrity of financial data.
Requirements:
· At least 2–3 years of experience in finance / accounting.
· Degree in finance and/or accounting, with a strong background in accounting.
· IFRS qualification is an advantage.
· Fluent in English.
· German language skills are an asset.
· Strong willingness for continuous professional development.
· Goal-oriented mindset, focus on efficiency, open attitude towards new tasks.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent command of Excel.
