The HRIS Solution Architect is responsible for designing and developing the architecture of the HRIS IT platform at a company-wide level. This role ensures scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives. The position drives innovation, standardisation, and global integration of HR systems while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and long-term architectural sustainability.
Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and developing the architecture of the IT platform of the specific initiative on a company-wide level by understanding business requirements, the technology landscape, and scalability needs to create a robust and scalable architecture.
- Establish company-wide technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for the development and implementation of the new platform initiative, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and interoperability across different components and systems, while driving adoption of these company-wide standards across all member companies.
- Assess and evaluate various technologies, frameworks, and tools to determine the most suitable options for the platform, considering factors such as performance, security, scalability, integration capabilities, and alignment with the IT enterprise architecture; actively collaborate with the enterprise architect and solution architects of the different strategic IT stacks to keep the company-wide HRIS architecture aligned with overall principles and the Nemetschek target landscape.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, developers, and infrastructure teams, to understand their requirements and align the platform architecture with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- Design the platform architecture to meet scalability and performance requirements by considering factors such as load balancing, caching, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure to support increasing user demands.
- Incorporate security measures and compliance requirements into the platform architecture, addressing aspects such as data protection, access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation phase by assisting with troubleshooting technical issues, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to architectural principles.
- Monitor platform performance, identify areas for optimisation, and work with development teams to implement improvements and maintain efficient operations.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, continuously exploring opportunities to enhance the platform’s capabilities and drive innovation.
- Document the platform architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications, and communicate the architecture effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, or IT operations before moving into an architecture role
- Has broad knowledge across software architecture and design, cloud platforms, infrastructure, databases, networking, security, and integration
- Combined background in SAP HR, cloud HR processes, and SuccessFactors
- Several years of experience in SAP HR or HCM and cloud HR systems, ideally with end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementations
- Background in solution or SAP architecture, including designing end-to-end HRIS landscapes, integrations with SAP ERP, payroll, and third-party systems, and ensuring security and compliance
- Deep understanding of HR processes such as Core HR Employee Central, time management, payroll integration, talent management, performance, learning, and compensation
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and change management skills to advise HR and IT, lead implementation partners, and drive global HR transformation
