The HRIS IT Project Manager is responsible for leading global projects related to HR Information Systems (with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors and its satellite ecosystem). The role encompasses the full project lifecycle—from planning and governance to delivery—ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic HR and IT objectives. This includes developing detailed project plans, managing cross-functional resources, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to ensure successful business outcomes.

 

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocations across global HRIS initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams (HR, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders) through all phases of project execution.

  • Manage project governance, reporting, and adherence to PMO standards and methodologies (SAFe/Agile/Waterfall as appropriate).

  • Oversee integration activities between SuccessFactors and related systems such as payroll, time, and talent management tools.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and course correction.

  • Ensure that solutions meet defined quality standards, compliance requirements, and business needs.

  • Monitor project performance using KPIs and stakeholder satisfaction metrics; implement continuous improvement actions.

  • Take on roles within the SAFe framework, supporting portfolio and program-level alignment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Relevant professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile) are a strong plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in IT project management with specific exposure to global HR system implementations.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (preferably multiple modules) and awareness of integration architectures.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence.

  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, consulting, and change management.

  • Ability to coordinate across HR, IT, and external partners to deliver complex solutions.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
