The Compensation Expert supports the Nemetschek Group with job grading processes, conduct job evaluations, benchmark salary data, and ensure the company’s compensation programs remain competitive, fair, and compliant. They will partner with all brands to provide data-driven insights, support merit increase cycles, monitor compliance with pay transparency regulations, and uphold the integrity of internal grade and pay structures.
Key Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Participate in global Total Rewards projects, working with HR and business leaders across brands.
- Conduct job evaluations using Mercer methodology to ensure roles are accurately graded and internally equitable.
- Maintain and update job description libraries and serve as job evaluation subject matter expert.
- Collect, analyze, and provide global salary and benefits benchmarking data to all brands, using market survey sources.
- Responsible for the global compensation and salary benchmarking surveys.
- Monitor market trends in compensation and share actionable insights with HR and business leaders.
- Recommend adjustments to pay structures to maintain market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Maintain internal grade structures, pay bands, and job architecture documentation.
- Support the annual and off-cycle merit increase processes.
- Participate in the review, creation, and ongoing maintenance of compensation-related policies and guidelines.
- Analyze and monitor compliance with pay transparency and equity regulations (e.g., EU Pay Transparency Directive).
- Support audits, reporting, and respond to requests as needed to demonstrate compliance.
- Analyze and support bonus and incentive payment cycles.
- Monitor bonus payment process execution for consistency, compliance, and internal alignment.
- Act as a compensation advisor to HR business partners and managers, providing guidance on grading, benchmarking, and pay decisions.
- Deliver compensation education and training to HR and line management as required.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR and/or Economics.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in HR compensation & benefits.
- Compensation benchmarking and market analysis.
- Fluent English knowledge.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skillset.
